It was night time when the three teenagers returned to their living flat. Maggie left right when they got back, swearing that her mom was going to kill her. Grace and Nathan chose to lie under the pear tree, looking up at the sky. It had sort of been their thing ever since they'd gotten older.

"I feel really bad…" Nathan confessed, turning his head to look at Grace. She turned hers as well and sighed.

"About what?" she asked, her voice knowing.

He looked back up, "M.I.T…I really don't know what I should do…"

One Pear Tree, Ch. 3
The three teenagers decided, after a while of sitting bored in Nathan's room, to go riding on Grace's horses. They had always shared them, since they were little kids. It was true that Nathan and Maggie didn't exactly get along, but because of Grace they were always together. She loved that they had the fearless three aura about them, even if it was to much chagrin of her other two.

So after waiting 10 minutes for Maggie to run home a change into appropriate clothes, they saddled up and started riding through the trailed forest behind the Mitchell house. Maggie had immediately taken off, going as fast as the poor horse could take. Grace and

Grace walked into the house and was immediately greeted by James sighing loudly. She raised an eyebrow and took a seat at the island counter that sat in the middle of their kitchen.

"Loud sigh…what's wrong?" she questioned. He leaned on the counter and shook his head.

"Your dad and I have just been fighting. Nothing big really…" he tried to idle by it. But his daughter, like always, saw right through it.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" she leaned towards him, ready to get it dumped on her.

James exhaled, "It's just that there's this new woman at his work. I walked up there to bring him lunch and they were flirting."

"C'mon Gracie!" a 9 year old Nathan Mitchell yelled from the very top branch of the gigantic pear tree that sat in the middle of both the children's back yards. He was standing fearless, looking down on his younger, terrified best friend.

Grace Knight held her face straight with a façade of fearlessness, though she was scared to her wits. She wanted nothing more than to reach out and grab the thin trunk of the tree and hold her body close to it. But she had to show Nathan she was just as good as him, even though she was a girl and only 7.

"Do you want me to help you?" the brunette boy asked his voice full of irritation.

Haha, thank you! I enjoyed your fic quite a bit, by the way; it was very different form all the pregnancy stories I've read... which is a good thing! Take your, time though. I know what it's like to have an EXTREMELY busy schedule! :)
